Job description
The competition invites teachers of Government Schools in District Gilgit only to write short, original storybooks for primary-level readers in English and Urdu, contextualized to Gilgit-Baltistan. Winning entries will be professionally printed, published, and made available through the digital libraries being established in DE schools. Requirement Who can apply : Serving teachers of public (government) schools under the Directorate of Education (DE), Gilgit District Applications per school Up to two teachers per school may participate: one for English, one for Urdu. Only one teacher per language, per school Applications per teacher : A teacher may apply in only one language track: English OR Urdu, not both Target readership : Primary-level students Story length : 3–4 pages Language : English or Urdu Theme: Contextualized to Gilgit-Baltistan; theme(s); to be confirmed and will be shared with shortlisted writers. (Theme(s) e.g., Climate Change or Carbon Credits) Originality : Entirely original work by the teacher; no plagiarism; no AI-generated text or AI-assisted drafting Note; Teachers should submit proof of employment along with their CV in the attachment section.
